Prayer Team

WHAT IS IT?

A team of people who believe in the power of prayer,

and are committed to praying over clients to see

breakthroughs of healing and freedom in their lives.

HOW IT WORKS:

The Breakthrough Prayer Team gathers twice a month.

During this time, we listen to a client share his/her struggles

and corporately come around the client and pray.

We intentionally listen to God during this time,

as we want Him to lead us.

In addition to prayer, we also read scripture and

share words of encouragement that God puts on our hearts.

It is an amazing time of worship surrounded by the presence of the Lord.

We simply want to humbly come to God and ask Him to work how He desires.

GOAL

We believe that the healing, truth, and freedom these clients need, can only come from God's mighty power in their lives. Therefore, the Breakthrough Prayer team exists to see God move, heal, and set free. We gather with expectant hearts filled with faith to listen to the Lord and communicate with him on a person's behalf. We believe God has given us the privilege to come boldly before His throne in prayer.

Hebrews 4:16

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Therefore, we are inviting saints of God to pray with us for these beloved clients, as we believe God wants to break chains of bondage in their lives and grant freedom found in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah‬ 61:1-3‬ NIV

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide

for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty

     instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
    and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord

for the display of his splendor.

Note from Stephanie:

"Most of us, at one time or another, have experienced what is like to feel hopeless, unloved, depressed or to have little faith for circumstances to change.  Many of our JC Cares clients have these feelings everyday. Breakthrough Prayer exists to allow God to work in miraculous ways in people's lives."
